As a business owner you have to be able to sell.

Strangely this is a concept a lot of business owners struggle with.

“Oh but I’m a … vet/designer/accountant/hotelier (fill in the gap with your profession here)….. Not a sales person”

Wrong.

As a business owner you have to know how to market and sell your product or service.

Why? Well because a business that doesn’t make sales isn’t a business at all. It’s just a very expensive and time consuming hobby.

It has to be someone’s responsibility to make sales and as a business owner that responsibility falls on you.

Sorry.

But don’t panic!

Selling is easy when you know how.

By selling, I don’t mean you have to start cold calling or doing face to face sales meetings.

I just mean that you need to be able to use all your communications (whether that’s your website, your Facebook, a phone conversation, an ad in a newspaper or your emails) to inspire your prospects into buying from you.

As a copywriter that’s exactly what I do. I write the words that sell.

The words you use in your marketing are the single biggest thing that determines how successful your campaign will be.

If you want your marketing to sell you have to be able to….

  • Grab your prospects attention
  • Communicate with them using words they understand
  • Show them you understand their dreams, problems and desires
  • Tell them that you have the solution for them
  • Overcome their objections
  • Create an overwhelming desire for what you are selling.
  • Inspire them into taking action and hitting the buy button.

That’s it. That’s the secret to selling. If you can do this in our marketing, then you can sell anything.

If you can’t? Well that’s what we’re here for.
